Main Street Dorchester, WI 54425 Kewaunee, WI 54216 By: Donald W. Beeck, NA Shoreline Marine Services L.L.C. 4609 Ashley Lane Sheboygan, WI 53083 This survey sets forth the condition of the vessel to the best of this surveyor’s ability. Without the removal of bulkheads, paneling, ceilings or other portions of her structure, and without the opening up of her machinery and auxiliaries for further examinations. It represents the honest and unbiased opinion of the surveyor, but in submitting this survey it is understood by all parties concerned that such a survey is not to be considered a guarantee of its accuracy nor does it create any liability of the part of the surveyor arising out of the reliance on the information contained in this survey. Areas of the vessels structure, systems and equipment may be inaccessible without removing decks, tanks, bulkheads and head liners etc or in the case of cored structures, drilling core samples. This could be prohibitively time consuming, dangerous to the surveyor, potentially destructive, costly to repair and are not within the scope of this survey. Coating build up, corrosion, marine growth, excessive gear on board, dirt, lack of battery power may have hampered the surveyors ability to inspect and evaluate. Loose gear, accessories and personal items were not inventoried nor inspected. Cosmetic or comfort issues may be addressed where there is a significant effect on the value of the vessel. All seacocks and valves are activated and tested by hand pressure only. Electronics and electrical equipment may be tested by powering up only when power is available and connected. A complete inspection and analysis of the vessels electrical systems would require a qualified marine electrician. Only the external visual condition of wiring, connections and panels is reported. The surveyor recommends that a qualified marine mechanic inspect the engines, generators, v-drives, transmissions, outdrives or saildrives. Normal wear and tear relative to the model and age will not generally be reported on. Fuel burning (LPG / CNG) equipment or appliances will be visually inspected and will not be started or ignited by the surveyor. Any reference to bronze, stainless steel or aluminum metals is a color reference for convenience only as the actual metallurgy cannot be determined without full laboratory evaluation. The statements in this survey are of the personal opinions and observations of the surveyor and are for the consideration of the party or persons retaining him, with no guarantees express or implied. The surveyor cannot predict how the vessel or it’s systems will perform over time, or should the vessel moved or operated after the physical marine survey has been performed and therefore this report is valid only on the date noted on this report. No right of action against the surveyor for negligence, or breach of contract or otherwise accrues to anyone other than the party retaining the surveyor as is both restricted and limited to the cost of the survey herein provided. Acceptance and or use of this report constitutes agreement to these and all other conditions and limitations contained within this report. Page 3 of 19 In the survey conducted on the 10 of December 2022, the vessel was ashore on a trailer outdoors at Yacht Works Kewaunee in Kewaunee, Wisconsin the following is stated. 1. Vessel is in good structural condition for the age and service with indication of normal use and indication of satisfactory general up keep and maintenance. At time of inspection the engine was not turned over or started. DC power was available, AC power was not. 2. The following items were noted during the survey for correction/upgrade and awareness. A. Hull and deck care, exterior of the vessel shows UV deterioration of the gel coat causing hazing and minor chalking. Use 3M Imperial or Meguiars diamond cut heavy by hand or with a electric buffer to remove any oxidization or UV chalking of the gel coat. Follow up with at least two coats of wax (Meguiars Flagship) or marine polish to maintain the gloss. Remember, only buff and wax surfaces that are smooth not rough such as the non-skid of the swim platform, cockpit, side and forward decks the wax will make the surface slippery when wet. General seasonal maintenance. B. Underbody antifouling paint shows areas of flaking paint. Seasonal maintenance, apply a fresh coat of green ablative antifouling paint. C. Port upper running strake amidship and port aft hull outer chine show evidence of contact resulting in check coat chipping to the underlying laminate. Recommend contacting a fiberglass repair technician for evaluation and repair as needed. General non-structural maintenance. D. Starboard underbody forward of the transom between chine and keel shows evidence of minor impact noted from the vessel interior engine compartment bilge area (circular hairline fractures in the bilge gel coat), exterior and interior percussion sounding showed evidence of early stages of delamination. Laminate moisture content readings taken from the vessel interior with a Tramex Skipper moisture meter showed readings from 30% to 45% relative content (dry nearing damp range). E. Vessel transom showed evidence of the early stages of delamination during percussion sounding in various areas. Laminate moisture content readings taken from the vessel interior with a Tramex Skipper moisture meter showed readings from 45% to 70% relative content (high damp / wet). No deflection of the transom noted when pressure was applied to the outdrive unit. Continued on page 5. Page 4 of 19 F. Outdrive unit sacrificial anodes show evidence of deterioration and should be replaced with equivalent size and type Mercruiser anodes. General preventative maintenance. G. Swim platform deck area showed evidence of the early stages of delamination during percussion sounding in the area of the port swim ladder mounts moving inboard to approximately centerline. Minor deflection noted when weight is applied. Laminate moisture content readings taken from the vessel exterior with a Tramex Skipper moisture meter showed readings 80% to 100% relative content (wet). Area is sound enough for general usage and should condition worsen it is recommended to hire a fiberglass repair technician to evaluate and repair. H. Forward deck in the area surrounding the windlass aft approximately 36" and forward to the end of the bow pulpit (rode hawse is a open hole-recommend covering), deck house forward of the windshield (entire forward width), outboard of the port aft hatch and inboard of the starboard aft hatch show evidence of delamination during percussion sounding. Noticeable deflection of areas when weight is applied. Laminate moisture content readings taken from the vessel exterior with a Tramex Skipper moisture meter showed readings from 95% to 100% relative content (wet) in affected areas. Area is sound enough for general usage and should condition worsen it is recommended to hire a fiberglass repair technician to evaluate and repair. I. Forward bow rail bases show evidence of movement. Recommend removing base mounting fasteners and sealing with 3M 4200 adhesive sealant and securely mounting rail. Corrective maintenance. J. Vessel compass has a small bubble in the globe. Recommend filling compass with Isopar L synthetic fluid (Ritchie compass fluid). Corrective maintenance. K. Vessel galley outlet is a standard fixture, recommend replacing with GFCI outlet. Corrective safety measure. L. Mid cabin bilge area / stringers to starboard show evidence of repair. M. No current visual distress signals (flares) sighted aboard the vessel. Visual distress signals are required safety equipment (33 CFR 175.101 Federal requirement for open water) and must be current and aboard the vessel at time of operation. N. Recommend installing a smoke detector in the main cabin of the vessel to meet NFPA 302 standard, detector must be UL listed 217. Page 5 of 19 All above listed items are recommended for correction but are not of immediate importance and left to the discretion of the next vessel owner except items noted as preventative, corrective or required should be remedied prior to launch. 3. Basic vessel at present will meet all government requirements for class II vessels with all vessel items meeting minimum standards when item M has been satisfied. Vessel at present will meet ABYC / NFPA requirements in applicable areas and systems when item N has been satisfied. "Current fair market value" "Current fair market value" is the price, in terms of currency or its equivalent that a willing seller will accept for property from a willing buyer, neither part being under undue pressure to act in the matter. This valuation opinion is intended for insurance and financing purposes only and is not intended to influence the purchase or non-purchase of the subject vessel at any value.
